I purchased another 250gb sata hdd to add to my computer.
I installed this 250gb along with another 250gb on the VIA controller of my ASUS A8V Deluxe. I then took my remaining 200gb and put it on the Promise controller of my mobo.
The two 250gb's were configured using JBOD and during the installation of windows I split the total into 4 partitions.
Now when I boot up windows it can see the Promise controller however there is an "error 10" and my 200gb hdd will not show up.
Apparently this is a problem that can be fixed however I've yet to find a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya,

Olink does windows have a number we can call? I usually just search their database. Well I really do not know much about promise controllers but I would just unistall and try again. Try what Olink said it definitely sounds like window problem not a drive issue. Also make sure you have the drive setup as Master in the back but I bet you do. Also go into your bios and make sure the bios can see it. Sometimes when you use Sata drives your Ide drive will not boot up right.Well I had that problem once. One last thing you could make sure you bios are up to date and your Motherboard drivers are.

Good luck,

Psionx
