The new forums are bloody crap.

1. No unread posts column;

2. No preview button;

3. No non-WYSIWYG editor;

4. Server throws up errors when I try to post in some threads (others are fine);

5. No 'posted in' icon;

6. No way to change my timezone;

7. World forums are hidden under another category header;

8. They're too dark;

9. The top banner image is... It looks like it was made by a kid in kindergarten with scissors.

10. I put effort into making the theme for our TGS forum, but the DN1 theme is just... crap. How can I do more than an entire team of 'professional' Web developers?

/agree

11. no edit button

12. the skin is crap

13. the skin is crap

14. the skin is crap

15. the icons are crap

It seems those guys were pure developers, which have no graphic skills (i know what i am speaking about Razz )

The new forum is written in JAVA ... /vomit
I am currently in a project where i am forced to program java ... our webapplication also randomly gets those HTTP 500 errors :/

All in all the features of this new forum are very very poor. I have no plan how this 'product' has passed QA. Installing such a thing in a production environment is ... suicide!

EDIT:
yeah i can edit here!!!
@drag: sorry for crashing your dreams as well, but we must see the truth

Well, my new computer's up and running. It's so fucking quiet! (And yes, the eight fans are all working. Razz)

Won't be playing MxO yet, though, 'cos I've got to update Windoze and all ym drivers.

Uh, except I've been caught out by that damned Windoze Genuine Disadvantage. Anyone got any workarounds? Wink

Yeah had the same problem with this PC when I upgraded.. only workaround I know of is to buy a new copy.
