Pfft, I'm not waiting another month just for the prices to drop a little. And I'm certainly not willing to get anything more powerful, as even after a month that'd cost too much.

Dude, I DID tell you about the new Meron and Conroe cores, right? The ones where the $140 chip beat out the $650 Athlon FX-52?

EDIT: No, that was in-game talking to Fig.

What sort of motherboard would that require, though? I'd need to get a different mobo, and given how new those will be I'd need higher spec RAM. And there won't be any decent coolers so soon either.

Heheh. Why couldn't he order it? Out of stock?

I got everything except my graphics card yesterday. Motherboard didn't have onboard graphics, so I couldn't use it. The card's at home now, but I'm still at work. Sad

Still, assuming I have enough time to install Windoze and MxO tonight, next time you see me I'll be on the new machine. Oh yeah.

The specs are what they were, the motherboard just looks cooler lol. That and the suggested graphics card.

Nah. The Motherboard supports a better Pentium 4 chip than before, cannot remember the name. It all confuses me!

You got the x1600 then? Sexy. That'll see you good.

My computer's still not finished. I'm going a little slowly because I want to be careful (changing coolers on graphics cards and northbridges scares me) but it's also so damned hot in my room that I can't work very fast anyway.

Then I had a problem with the graphics card colliding with my northbridge cooler, and it took bloody ages to remove teh latter so I could put the original back on. Bloody pins.

All I need to do now is hook the drives and fans to some power and we're away.
